Specialty Products for Household Care Applications in the Network

Hanau, Germany – Degussa’s Care & Surface Specialties business unit has re-launched its website for the household care industry as the activities of the former Home Care and Textile Care sector were pooled into one new business line named “Household Care” at the beginning of 2007.

The web pages were redesigned to offer a faster and more convenient way to locate information about the company’s portfolio of raw materials for the home care and laundry care applications. User-friendliness and a comprehensive overview of products and services characterize the new website. In addition, we have included recommended formulations. The Household Care web site is simple to navigate and the contents can be found easily.

At www.degussa-household-care.com, users and visitors will find a platform containing general information, news, and contacts.

“We possess outstanding expertise in the use of surface-active products and persalts for laundry, household, and car care, as well as applications in the industrial and institutional cleaning sector. The products include specialty surfactants, polishes, organo modified silicone compounds and emulsifiers as well as bleaching agents and quaternaries for fabric softeners,” states Dr. Johannes Ohmer, head of the new business line. “This product range provides the basis on which the business line supplies its customers with tailor-made products and system solutions. Our new web pages allow current and prospective customers to inform themselves about both our overall range of services and, as usual, to call up detailed information concerning specific requirements”.

Among other things, the website includes a convenient, database-supported, rapid search which can be conducted on the basis of trade name or functionality. “We restructured the pages related to specific applications in the industrial segments so that they are much more user-friendly. This has enabled us to offer registered users a very comprehensive service, up to and including detailed product documentation“, says Dr. Ohmer.
